Questions and answers
Why does DK2 often have the same price as southern Sweden?
DK2, Zealand with Copenhagen, Lolland, Falster, Møn and Bornholm, is linked to southern Sweden (SE4) by several cables under the Øresund, to Germany by the Kontek cable and through the Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm, and to DK1 across the Great Belt. So DK2 often has the same price as SE4. When those lines are full, DK2 can be more expensive, especially on calm winter evenings. Bornholm has its own cable to Sweden.
Why does the price change every 15 minutes?
Since 1 October 2025 the day-ahead market sets a price for every quarter hour instead of every hour. The hourly price in the table is the average of the four quarters.
